Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are excited to have our first Spring Fling since the pandemic! We have many former Owen alumni who are volunteering and former parents who have been helping out too. A very big Thank You to our Parent Council Chairs Yassamin and Evelyn and to Soodabeh who is heading the Spring Fling Committee. Thanks to dedicated and involved parents like them and to you for your contributions to help, bake goods and put together bottle bonanza jars, this day will be a great fundraiser and fun for everyone!
The Spring Fling Committee would like to thank all the students who are volunteering, They do have enough students right now.
They are still looking for more baked goods and bottles for the bottle bonanza.
More information will be sent tomorrow about the event. Just a reminder that students need to be with their parents or responsible adult during the event.
Don't forget to join us on Thursday! You can still purchase your bracelets and tickets onsite.

Donations for Spring Fling
We are excited to have our first Spring Fling after the pandemic. We are overwhelmed by the amount of volunteers we have for the event and the amount of support we have received from the community and parents.
This will be our LAST big fundraiser for the school year so let's make it a big one! Parent Council and Spring Fling committee has worked very hard to get sponsors and donors to make this a spectacular event!
Parent Council is still looking for last minute donations to help support the school. Please donate at this link

Gently Used Blue Dri-fit Owen T-shirts
Has your child outgrown their Blue Dri-fit Owen T-shirt and don't have any other siblings to pass it down to?
We have been very fortunate to have Barry Cohen purchase Owen tshirts for our entire school a few years ago. We continued to fundraise to purchase for our newly enrolled students. Every student receives their first Owen t-shirt for free!
Donate in your gently used Owen shirt like this one on the left. You can get a discount for a replacement shirt for the 2023-2024 school year. Discounts can only be applied to the Blue Dri-fit Owen T-shirts. We will have them ready for re-sale at a discounted price ready for others to purchase at the Welcome Back Dance in September. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of new t-shirts for new students enrolled at Owen.
What do I need to do?
- Bring your washed, non-damaged gently used shirt to Spring Fling or the office between Thursday May 25th and Monday June 19th.
- After you have donated the t-shirt, you will be asked to fill out a google form to record your information to receive the discounted rate when purchasing the new shirt for the 2023-2024 school year.

Moving Out of Owen for September 2023?
As we are beginning the process for next year please let us know if your child will be moving to another school. We want to make sure their Ontario Student Records (OSR) or any other important information gets forwarded to their new school. If students are moving out of the province, their OSR will stay at Owen and can be retrieved if they return to Ontario.
Grade 5 students graduating will also need to complete this form.
