Yearbook!

We have captured so many fun memories from this school year in the yearbook, from holiday concerts, spirit days, the day of pink, sports teams, clubs, spring fling and so much more! 

You can purchase your Owen Public School Yearbook on schoolcashonline.ca. Delivery of yearbooks will be before the last day of school. Quantities are limited, so don't hesitate too long. 

Also, the yearbook team is looking for new members to help with next years' yearbook. Please come to the OSAC meeting on June 11th to find out more.

PICK UP on Friday, June 7!!!

Students, staff and parents work together to contribute previously enjoyed clothing and textiles that are then weighed and exchanged for cash at the current market rate. The items will be shipped overseas and sold as quality used clothing, boosting affordable clothing markets in developing countries.

Please bring any used clothing donations just inside our front doors where we will collect and arrange for pick up. Hello Owen Families,

We hope you had fun and enjoyed Owen Spring Fling 2019! We wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to support the school and enjoy the event. Thank you so much to all our wonderful volunteers! Without you all an event like Spring Fling can't happen. And an EXTRA special thank you to Zakia Nabbus, Michael Youssef, Mojgan Rahiminejad, Nava Khavari, Vas Georgiou, Leslie Gage, Marcela Villanueva Cartie, Ani Markova, Pam Mazzuca, and Michelle Brochu, who headed up the event.

With all of your help and support, Owen Spring Fling 2019 made a profit of over $11,000 for the school!

The "Everyday Snacks and Drinks" resource replaces the previously school-board approved "Healthy Snacks" resource. It was updated to align with the new Food Guide.

Portuguese Speaking Heritage Month at the TDSB:  T-Shirt Design Challenge

The Toronto District School Board is proud to recognize June as Portuguese Speaking Heritage Month.  During this month, the TDSB students, staff and community members will be provided with opportunities to learn about their vibrant culture and traditions, and also gain a better understanding of the Portuguese-speaking diaspora.  

Students from grades 1 – 12 are invited to participate in a T-Shirt Design Challenge.   The selected design will become the official T-shirt for the 2019 Portuguese Heritage Parade in June and the student will receive a $75.00 Gift Card.    

For those students who plan on submitting an original hard copy.  Please mail or deliver it to: Dani Carnevale, Service Coordinator, TDSB, 5050 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M2N 4N8.

Traffic Safety & Parking

This is a friendly reminder that there is absolutely NO PARKING in the circular driveways at Owen PS. The front loop is for quick drop off and the back driveway is for buses only. Thanks to our amazing volunteers who keep our children safe each morning! The safety of Owen students is our first priority.

If we have a license plate and/or description of the driver we can lay charges for moving violations, if the complainant is willing to go to court and can identify the driver.
