Toronto Public Health: 
Immunization Information for Schools

Toronto Public Health (TPH) began sending letters, in early January, to parents requesting their child's immunization information. TPH are seeking school support to promote online reporting to parents. Families without a health card, can make an appointment at our free vaccination clinic.  Language interpreter services are available on our phone line at 416-392-1250.
Attached is the listing for the suspension dates for each school.

Kindergarten Registration


Registration for all TDSB Kindergarten programs begins in February. We look forward to welcoming you and your child! You may choose to register in person at your local school or by using our new online registration system.

Children who will be four by December 31, 2020, can start Junior Kindergarten in September 2020.

Please note:
Only parents or legal guardians can register a child for TDSB programs. There is a separate process to apply for optional attendance. If you wish to register your child at an elementary alternative school or elementary academy, please contact the school directly for more information about requirements and the registration process.

            Owen Maths Club News           
Dear Parents,

Owen Public School is delighted to continue the Math Club, a club that promotes excellency skills for students who would like to challenge themselves for the spring math contests. By now, our students already solved the latest preparatory tests for Mathematica Centrum and, during the month of February and March, will practice a few versions of the Canadian Math Kangaroo.  

Due to the low number of active student members, the Math Club WILL NOT register the students for the spring math contest this year. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Students and parents who are interested in registering for the math contests may use the following links to set up accounts:

The Mathematica Centrum Contest will be on April 22th, 2020. This contest is only in English.

The next Math Kangaroo Contest will be on Saturday,  March 22th, 2020, at University of Toronto, St. Geroge Campus.  The registration for the contest is now open. Please click on ‘Sign up’ if you are new to this contest. You may choose to enter either English or French version of this competition.

We are also looking ahead at February for any parents interested in creating displays for African Heritage Month and Chinese Heritage Month.  Please let us know if you are interested.

THE MILK PROGRAM IS BACK!!!

We are delighted to announce that the Milk Program will resume on Tuesday January 14, 2020.

Your child will need a milk ticket to exchange for a carton of milk.

WHITE milk tickets are for white milk only.
BLUE milk tickets can be used for either white or chocolate milk.
