Parent Council :
Fundraising for HEPA Units:
At the parent council meeting there was a question about raising funds for HEPA filters. The Ministry of Education Fundraising Guideline states that schools and school councils are not permitted to fundraise for anything that government funding typically covers. Fundraising for HEPA units or other HVAC-related items for a specific school is not permitted because the province specifically provided funding to school boards for this purpose.
For more information about HEPA units in TDSB schools, please see the Questions & Answers on our TDSB website.

Dressing for Fall/Winter Weather:
Daily Heath Screening:
Don't forget to verify that your child is healthy enough to come to school! You can do this on:
- your computer by going to https://tdsb.service-now.com/tswp
- on your phone Daily Health Screening
Switching between In School and Virtual School:
The next opportunity for elementary students will be offered at the end of January 2021 to align with reporting. There will no longer be an opportunity for elementary students to switch in November. We are confident that this approach will help maintain current classes and teacher assignments in both in-person and virtual classrooms until the new year and will benefit all students and staff by ensuring no further disruptions.
Staff or students should not bring candy to school for sharing with others.
Students can still dress up in a costume if they wish, however, because they are required to wear masks/face coverings in school, they should:
- not wear a costume mask on top of their face covering
- not remove their face covering and wear only a costume mask. A costume mask does not replace a face covering.
- not wear make-up, from below the eyes to ensure their face coverings are not dirtied.
