Heritage Month Displays
We’ve had wonderful feedback on the Heritage Month displays we have at the front of the schools set up by parents. We are still looking for parents to who would like to share information for Tamil Heritage Month for January in our front hall display case. If you would like to, please let the office know.
We are also looking ahead at February for any parents interested in creating displays for African Heritage Month and Chinese Heritage Month. Please let us know if you are interested.

Owen Maths Club News
Dear Parents,
Owen Public School is delighted to continue the Math Club, a club that promotes excellency skills for students who would like to challenge themselves for the spring math contests. By now, our students already solved the latest preparatory tests for Mathematica Centrum and, during the month of February and March, will practice a few versions of the Canadian Math Kangaroo.
Due to the low number of active student members, the Math Club WILL NOT register the students for the spring math contest this year. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Students and parents who are interested in registering for the math contests may use the following links to set up accounts:
The Mathematica Centrum Contest will be on April 22th, 2020. This contest is only in English.
The next Math Kangaroo Contest will be on Saturday, March 22th, 2020, at University of Toronto, St. Geroge Campus. The registration for the contest is now open. Please click on ‘Sign up’ if you are new to this contest. You may choose to enter either English or French version of this competition.
Keep solving math problems,
Mme Balaban and Mme Ching
